Interessante post di Shane (ragazzo che lavora nella clinica e che ha avuto un eccezionale risultato di trapianto, visto con i miei occhi)su come scalare la densita' per ricoprire aree piu' grandi:

"The average procedure at our clinic is between 4000-5000 grafts. And it is possible to transplant zone 1 -4 (see attachment) in many cases. However, it’s really based on the donor density and scalp elasticity of the patient. If the patient’s donor density/ scalp elasticity is low, Dr. Armani will split the procedure into two separate sessions: zone 1 and 2 first and zone 3 and 4 at a later date, usually one month after the first in most cases.

Our philosophy is to transplant high density front (70-90 grafts cm/2), zone 1- decreasing the density towards the crown: zone 2, 60 grafts cm/2, zone 3, 40 grafts cm/2 and zone 4, 20 grafts cm/2, as an example. The resulting look: a natural looking hairline and thinning crown. I have also included some crown work performed by Dr. Armani.

A natural looking hairline and thinning crown is a very natural balding pattern.

Unfortunately, many confuse the Norwood Scale as the standard balding pattern for men. One must realize that this scale is no where near complete. It’s just gives a general idea of possible balding patterns and is used most often because of its simplicity. "
